Firstly, I want to thank our wonderful committee member, Karen Fitzpatrick, for designing our brilliant new ‘Bredon Community Play and Recreation’ logo shown in the photo below.
We had our second Play Ranger day of 2018 in the May half term. Unfortunately, the weather was against us again but the children didn’t seem to mind the rain and a great time was had by all. We still have some after school sessions to look forward to on July the 4th, 11th and 18th, from 4pm-6pm. Also, with the summer holidays fast approaching, make a note of the full day sessions, which will be held on the 25th July, 1st, 8th and 15th August, from 10am-4pm. If you would like further information about what Play Rangers offer, please visit their website; https://playgloucestershire.org.uk/ or just come along and see for yourselves! We are always on the lookout for new ‘Club 200’ members. If you would like to help support our brilliant playing fields, and be in with a chance of winning £50 in one of our regular prize draws then please contact Ruth Odell on 01684 772114 or e mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Membership is just £10 a year and is used to help fund activities and essential maintenance of the playing fields. We have been aware for a while that the bark underneath the wooden climbing structure and the basket swing is very low. The good news is that the Parish Council have agreed to get this replenished, and this work be completed by the time you read this. If you notice anything in the park that needs attention please contact us on the above email, use our Facebook page or contact the Parish Clerk (Timothy Drew) on 01684 773984. At the time of writing, we are all busy making our final preparations for Bredon’s Big Day Out, which promises to be a brilliant occasion. All we can do is hope for the weather to be kind to us! A full write up on the event will be published in next month’s magazine, so watch this space….
